News / Barbados and Cyprus to Negotiate Double Tax Agreement
Cyprus and Barbados seek to strengthen economic relations  by announcing the beginning of negotiations for a Double Taxation Agreement (DTA).

During a recent courtesy call at Ilaro Court the Prime Minister of Barbados, Freundel Stuart, told the High Commissioner of Cyprus to Barbados Georgios Chacalli, that although the diplomatic relations between the two countries were established in 1972, the economic opportunities are yet to be fully explored. Furthermore, he identified financial services and tourism as common areas in which Barbados and Cyprus could learn from each other.

Mr Chacalli was optimistic that if everything went according to plan, Barbados and Cyprus could sign a Double Taxation Agreement before the end of the year.
