News / BVI signs Tax Information Exchange Agreement with Isle of Man
On 30 March 2016, the British Virgin Islands signed its 28th Tax Information Exchange Agreement (TIEA) with the Government of Isle of Man as a means to reinforce its commitment to compliance with the international standards against tax evasion.

The TIEA also provides for the automatic exchange of information between the two governments in accordance with the Common Reporting Standards (CRS).

The BVI has signed 28 TIEAs with the following jurisdictions: United States, United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, the Netherlands, Curacao, St Maarten and Aruba, New Zealand, France, the Nordic Alliance (Sweden, Norway, Finland, Denmark, Iceland), The Faroe Islands, Greenland, China, India, Germany, Poland, Portugal, the Czech Republic, the States of Guernsey, Canada, Japan, South Korea and the Isle of Man.
