On the 15th of January 2016 in London, Switzerland signed joint declarations on the automatic exchange of information (AEOI) with the Isle of Man, Guernsey and Jersey.
The signed declarations specify that each jurisdictions is satisfied with the confidentiality rules provided for in the other jurisdiction with regard to tax.
The declaration is said to reflect the commitment of the governments of Switzerland and the Crown dependencies to the collection and exchange of information in tax matters in accordance with the global AEOI common reporting standards (CRS).
The first exchange of information between Switzerland and the Jersey, Guernsey and the Isle of man on a reciprocal basis will occur in 2018.
